Specifications and Features
Here is some info taken directly from the CM Storm Recon’s product page,
Recon uses AVAGO 3090 optical sensor with a polling rate of 1000Hz and DPI range of 800-4000 which can be switched in 4 easy steps 800-1600-3200-4000 !This variation in DPI is very well thought out and the difference when switching to upper or lower level DPI is quite noticeable! Recon uses OMRON high durability switches for the primary left and right clicks making them quite durable rated for over 5 million clicks , The side switches as well as the Middle mouse click uses TTC switches.
One of the most interesting features about this mouse setting it apart from the competition is it’s on the fly parameter switching , for instance the LOD , Polling Rate , DPI all 3 can be switched on the fly(More on this later).
The mouse has 1.5m/s tracking speed and 20G acceleration meaning unless your actions are crazy fast, the mouse will precisely track your movements !To accommodate all this and more the chipset employs a 16 bit wide USB data path to keep things going smooth.
Recon is an ergonomically designed ambidextrous mouse as you might have noticed by now and is medium sized in a way that it should be good to use by both claw grip as well as palm grip users and the rubberised top is a cherry on the cake. Now one of the most important feature here is that the mouse has onboard memory meaning you can store upto 5 profiles on it and forget about the software, use the mouse anywhere you want without worrying about setting up parameters using the software utility.
Last but not the least multicolored LED system illuminates the mouse around appropriate areas to add that bling factor for those who like it (Let’s be honest who doesn’t :p ).
